Here are the services we
offer. Click on
the titles below, or the links to the left, for additional detail of
our services provided:
- HOME INSPECTION
- A pre-purchase inspection is recommended for all real estate
transactions. Since we are a Professional Engineering Company,
our Standard Home Inspection also includes a review of the Structural
Condition of the property. If you use a traditional home
inspector that is not an engineer, to do your home inspection, you may
have to subsequently hire an engineer to address any structural
concerns found in the home inspection or appraisal. With Coyle Home Inspection Engineers, one inspection is all you need.
-
- STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
-
The Colorado Front Range is famous for its expansive soil,
causing millions of dollars in damage to homes, buildings, roadways
and infrastructure. Proper engineering and construction are of
paramount importance in mitigating the potential for damage. Our
Structural Inspection is recommended for properties that have
sustained movement or damage. According to Colorado law, a
structural opinion can only be rendered by a professional engineer.
Therefore you cannot get this service from a regular home inspection
company.
-
- END OF WARRANTY INSPECTION
- Most builders supply a One Year Warranty on new home
construction. But how do you know if your home was built
properly? Our End-of-Warranty inspection is designed to discover
problems in the making prior to the expiration of your
warranty. Since we are an engineering firm, our reports carry
more weight with the builders than a home inspector's report.

- 10 YEAR
STRUCTURAL WARRANTY INSPECTION
- Most builders supply a 10 Year Structural Warranty on new home
construction. Unfortunately most people forget and let the
coverage expire prior to discovering problems and initiating a claim. Our
10 Year Structural Warranty inspection is designed to discover
problems that you may be totally unaware about.
-
- CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION
- If you are having a new home built, you may want to consider
having periodic inspections by a professional in the
industry.
-
- MAINTENANCE INSPECTION
- This is the perfect tool for monitoring your home and its needs
for repairs and service.
-
- STRUCTURAL FLOOR INSPECTION
-
Some structural floor systems are failing! If you have a structural
floor in the basement, we recommend having it inspected to determine its
current condition and any conditions that could lead to future
problems.
-
- STRUCTURAL REPAIR DESIGN
-
If structural repairs are warranted, we
can provide a design of repairs based on systems and methodologies that are time
tested.
-
- RADON GAS TESTING
-
Considered by the EPA to be the 2nd leading cause of lung
cancer, radon gas is common in Colorado. Fortunately, mitigation
is relatively easy and inexpensive, but you need to know if you have
it. We offer radon gas testing using the latest in equipment,
giving immediate results after the 48 hour testing exposure.

-
SEWER VIDEO INSPECTION
-
NOTE: WE NO LONGER OFFER THIS INSPECTION DIRECTLY, BUT
WE RECOMMEND YOU CONSIDER CONTRACTING WITH A SEWER VIDEO INSPECTION COMPANY,
FOR THE REASONS STATED BELOW. Older homes and newer homes alike may have hidden
problems with the underground sewer system. Pipe settlement, construction
damage, and root intrusion are just some of the potential conditions waiting to
cause you misery. With a video inspection, these defects can be spotted
and physically located to allow correction.
-
-
ELEVATION SURVEY
-
If your home has
experienced movement it is imperative to determine the magnitude of the movement
and the limits of the movement. This information will help determine if
structural repairs are warranted and can provide a basis for monitoring future
movement for signs of stabilization.
-
-
EXPERT WITNESS
-
If you have a construction problem that is not
being resolved to your satisfaction, an expert opinion is recommended to
determine if you have a valid claim. We are available to testify in court
or arbitration, as to our opinion on the matter.
